VERNA Upgrades Network Infrastructure of “Donbass Electronic Communications”

Project was performed by joint efforts of VERNA and DEC specialists. Basing on analysis of the current and future load on DEC IT system requirements to availability and security of critically important network data and services were formed. According to these requirements solution was developed on the basis of Cisco 7606-S boundary router.

VERNA fulfilled all key customer's requirements to the implemented solution. Possibility of gradual volume and performance enlargement was included by adding new service modules according to load increase. This approach will allow to save customer's investments and will relieve from necessity of complete replacement of the network central link in connection with future changes in IT Infrastructure.

Cisco 7606-S solution increased network efficiency for 15 times, appropriately distributes traffic policies among users groups without overloading system sources. Installed equipment complex allowed to reduce expences on DEC network infrastructure maintenance including optimization of personnel-related costs. Enlarged subscriber base and extended customer service volume is maintained by the previous number of engineers.

The network is completely ready for the load increase and is able to cope with more severe requirements to the service quality”.

With its BA services MATRIX covers subscribers of more than 90% of mass building urban residential area in Donetsk. The provider constantly extents range of provided services, including local network services and new service options. Continuity and availability of the company services is ensured by means of stable operation of the base network infrastructure. Recently due to the increase of users amount and traffic volume load on DEC network has grown significantly, in this regard the current network infrastructure achieved the efficiency bounder. This led to the upgrading solution.
