Traffic Map on Mobile Phones

For now the application allows to work with the maps of Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Ufa, and Krasnodar. Yandex plans to be adding new cities to this list constantly.
Mobile Yandex.Maps is compatible with any phone that supports Java MIDP2.0, and with any device supporting Symbian or Windows Mobile. In other words it is compatible with any phone model issued starting 2004.

The application uploads only relevant segments of the map, which minimizes the volume and the cost of data traffic.
Besides all options of the "desktop" version, when using a GPS device, mobile maps will show user's location and direction.

Information on traffic jams is still available in the PDA version of Yandex.Maps. Thus, anyone who owns any kind of an internet-connected device now can stay updated on the traffic situation in Moscow.

Yandex became the only internet company, which offers its users an application for all three mobile platforms: Java, Symbian и Windows Mobile.
