Yandex Goes Deeper Underground

Yandex.Metro features maps of all metro systems in Russia and Ukraine.

The mobile Yandex.Metro offers several route options for metro travel in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kiev, and Kharkiv along with the time of travel and the number of transfers. All routes can be looked up either as the metro scheme, or as a list of metro stations and transfers.

Yandex.Metro is available for download at the short address m.ya.ru/ymetro directly from a mobile device or from a personal computer at http://mobile.yandex.ru/metro/ (in Russian). The new Yandex application is compatible with cell phones supporting Java MIDP2.0 (“modern Java”), as well as with most smartphones and PDAs.

Yandex.Maps rolled out metro maps search in December 2007.
