A new attorney’s association called ALIAS has opened in Kyiv

Aleksandr Gorovoy, a well-known attorney at law who defends the personal interests of a wide range of prominent businessmen, politicians and public figures, has become ALIAS’s Managing Partner.

Aleksandr Gorovoy graduated from the Humanitarian Academy of Military Forces in Moscow and Moscow State Academy of Law. He has practiced at law since 1999. In 2000-2012, Mr. Gorovoy headed “Advocate” Law Firm. He has been ALIAS’s Managing Partner since March 2012. In 2011, Aleksandr Gorovoy defended the interests of Nikolai Ilchenko, Vice-Mayor of Odessa, who was released from detention and fully exonerated from unlawful criminal prosecution in result. Currently, Mr. Gorovoy’s most high-profile project is considering the defense of Viktor Adamovych in the “Volga Case”, and the case of Vladyslav Dreger, a well-known politician and businessman from Donetsk.

In particular, the new Attorney at laws’ Association is going to cooperate with Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm, one of Ukrainian’s legal service market leaders. “Today, Lavrynovych & Partners operates in all areas of practice and all branches of law except criminal litigation matters, which we do not deal with”, says Maksym Lavrynovych, Managing Partner of Lavrynovych & Partners Law Firm. “However, such requests, including those which are related to business matters and especially taxes, are often received from clients. Therefore, we are now launching our new separate project in conjunction with the attorneys at law we have cooperated with and whom we consider the best in criminal law in our country.”
